In Her Defense plot

Attorney Andrew Garfield has an affair with Jane, who is deaf. One day, Jane's husband comes home early and catches Andrew and Jane in bed. Andrew shoots the man dead. The police suspect Jane of the murder and want Andrew to defend her in the trial. Now he must defend her, without turning any suspicion on himself. At the same time, this is perhaps the big thing that advances his career.
