The Appearance plot
"Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live"
When a medieval monk unexpectedly dies in a horrific manner, the church dispatches Mateho the Inquisitor, a scientist with a rational mind, to investigate the alleged 'witch' who is believed to be responsible. Mateho soon becomes more involved in the case, as there are still monks who mysteriously die. He determines that he must learn that science cannot explain the horrors around him before he himself is seduced by the evil that haunts this monastery.
