Reasonable sequel.

Not the best series as far as I'm concerned, but there is still a lot of love for this series. A love that I don't quite understand because this is not such a very special series. But admittedly, given the budget, this is sometimes quite exciting. However, this part is slightly less than part 1.

Still, I think this part contains scarier sequences. Walking around the house remains an exciting part. They know exactly where to turn the camera and that keeps the tension high. There is a lot of talent behind the directing. I am therefore curious what this crew can do if they have enough budget.

What breaks through too much, however, are the cheap costumes. The creeps are portrayed too clearly, which makes it really a bit too transparent. Those eye lenses and cheap dresses are really no longer possible, but especially in the finale things go wrong when the horror comes very clearly into the picture.

They thought just a little too much outside their budget in the end and the finale is pretty ridiculous. It actually deducts almost a whole point from the score, but for now only half. I found this part a bit more exciting than part 1, but maybe I just don't remember enough of it.

House is also nicely decorated, the look is quite scary. The whole mystery happening around it still works with the news images in the beginning, but once the crew enters the house themselves, there is not much left of that atmosphere. There is tension, but it is not held to the end.

Smooth viewing further and quite a nice one of its kind with much more potential compared to the other (cheap) films of this kind. Quite exciting here and there, but that it is cheap becomes especially clear during the visualization of the threats, unfortunately. I'm going to set up part 3 sometime, but I'm certainly not going to pay for it.

Hell House LLC II: The Abaddon Hotel

Also grab part 2 right away while the first part is still fresh in my memory. This one was a bit less. We see a TV program with people discussing what happened on Halloween 2009 at the Aboddon Hotel. Later we see a group of people who would like to enter the hotel to find the tapes that were left there in the time of the previous owner. After that previous documentary, do people seriously still want to visit the hotel? You must be really crazy. We now get to know a bit more about the hotel itself, Alex and the dead from the previous part and what is haunting there, but otherwise the 2nd film has little added value and also found it less scary.

I think I'm going to skip part 3, because it gets an even lower grade.

2.5 stars.

Liked the first one a bit better than this one, but not really bad
