"The greatest journey is finding where you belong"
The film tells the story of Mowgli who, surrounded by a wolf pack, grows up in the jungles of India. His family and friends, including Baloo the bear and the panther Bagheera, teach him how to survive in the often brutal environment. All animals know how to accept the human child except the tiger Shere Khan. Moreover, the jungle is not without dangers and Mowgli must accept his human origin.

Nice film in which a baby is raised by a herd of wolves in the jungle. The tone is certainly a lot darker than the version that appeared two years earlier, but that does not alter the fact that the films are a bit too fast one after the other. come from this already milked story. The first half with the hierarchy in the animal kingdom is pretty standard, during the last part the story gets a bit more interesting. A good voice cast and it all looks beautiful.

Great, at least a lot better than the previous Disney version. A lot grimmer and without unnecessary singing. The first half is nice but a bit obedient, luckily the second half is a bit less obedient and it also becomes a lot more interesting. A slightly different take on the story than the Disney versions and that was fine to be honest. Chand does a good job as Mowgli and the animals are pretty well made. As far as I'm concerned, the best version of this story, but if you like good stuff with singing, you better watch the Disney version.

I found this adaptation of Rudyard Kipling's book very impressive. Not that Disney hasn't lived up to this in the past, but it was just different. Basically the same, but in a completely different direction in terms of effect. The cinematography was stunning and the story remains (in any case) gripping. Enjoyed me very much.
