Sono Tornato plot
Benito Mussolini, nicknamed Il Duce (the leader) suddenly awakens 72 years later in the Piazza Vittorio Emanuelle II in Rome. He thinks it is still 1945 and the reactions of the public are very diverse. Together with a journalist, the alleged Duce travels through the country (Rome, Naples, Florence, Milan and Umbria) and asks ordinary citizens questions about political, economic and social problems. Meanwhile, Il Duce is promoting his old ideas again and finds that they are not bad.
