It's Halloween night. A group of six friends take a short break to participate in the annual "Wicked Fest". What they don't know is that the evil spirit of a notorious serial killer has recently been released. It doesn't take long before the group of friends gets to know him.

A thoroughly boring horror film from director Tory Jones, who released more entertaining work a few years later. The Wicked One, however, doesn't fall into that category, mainly because Jones isn't averse to adding an abundance of utterly uninteresting drama. The characters aren't particularly compelling, and it takes forever for anything noteworthy to happen. The synopsis describes a phenomenon called Wicked Fest, but it consists of little more than a single band on a cheap stage. Furthermore, the killer is completely pointless and doesn't really break the atmosphere, but the actors do what they can and are quite likable as a result.
