Private Life plot
A couple finds out they are infertile. They try to keep their marriage as they descend deeper and deeper into the strange world of artificial insemination and adoption. When their doctor suggests third-party insemination, their hairs stand on end. But when Sadie, a recent high school dropout, re-enters their lives, they reconsider their decision.

Excellent film about a couple who do everything they can to get pregnant. A tragicomedy with the right tone. And while there are plenty of funny moments, the movie gives a realistic picture of what the couple are going through emotionally and physically. Well-developed characters and great dialogue. Nice end credits, and Paul Giamatti and Kathryn Hahn are well cast

While watching the film I had no idea that I had already seen Tamara's 2 previous films and it should be clear that this director knows how to make very interesting films that also feel lifelike.
Also in Private Life you empathize with the couple that tries everything but always come back with negative results, you hope along with the couple that they may find that happiness and realize their dream. As soon as Sadie is "thrown" into the mix, this results in very interesting scenes, the 3 together also have a beautiful and heartwarming chemistry and convey this very natural.
Perhaps a very small downside for me personally is that there are no more freak out scenes in the film, actually there is only 1x that Paul can shoot out of his shoe and can do this like no other. Love to see this guy act those kind of scenes like he did before in Sideways.
The ending closes on a hopeful note but also open at the same time, perfect closure.
Very nice Netflix video! Close to a 4.5 for me.
