Quite a pleasant film about a free-spirited middle-aged lady. Julianne Moore still looks and acts great. In the evening she looks for a dance to discharge herself and she is also not averse to a one-night stand, as long as it doesn't get too complex.
This changes when she meets Arnold. A serious relationship means compromise. She likes this. Arnold, on the other hand, too, but struggles too much with his past because he cannot let go of anything. His behavior is strange at times. No serial killer scrounged up, it's not that exciting, but it's quite entertaining without spectacular things happening.
Loved watching Gloria Bell with Moore carrying the film effortlessly. Rarely disappoints and not this time either. Not mainstream, but a nice little arthouse without really achieving great things.

This is a great 'in between snack'. Julianne is always nice to watch. She has something about her appearance that always attracts me. So even though she's in a bad movie, she still makes it interesting.
But this is DEFINITELY not a bad movie. This is just a story where not much really happened. And you don't have to. The story is nicely told. Sometimes humor. Sometimes some drama.

What a difficult film to rate. Starts smoothly with some nice scenes and good acting, but gradually you notice that it doesn't really go anywhere and at the end everything actually collapses a bit. Then you can still have such a professional appearance and cast as a film, but that turns out to be a kind of empty shell.
