Dairy farmer Johan van Rijthoven is a farmer who would do anything to transfer a healthy farm to his children. Because his cows don't give enough milk and his company is threatened with destruction, he takes on the multinational that supplied him with three faulty milking robots. It will be a battle on many fronts, as this documentary shows. The Van Rijthoven family has been farming on the land in the Brabant village of Casteren for seven generations. A lingering conflict with supplier DeLaval and distributor Coppens about a very expensive milking robot could well mean the downfall. Janic follows Johan van Rijthoven in a frustrating battle against superpowers, which is put on edge when Johan has an insulting text painted on the roof of his cow shed. Janic was allowed to film the procedures and is also present at the attempts of 'ecotherapist' Stef Freriks to remove negative energy and the like. That produces moments that you think someone with common sense would soon have clean enough. The fact that Van Rijthoven and other farmers go along with this, illustrates their impotence. Anyone who wants to understand why so many farmers in our country resist 'the rulers' with tooth, nail and tractor will find a plausible explanation here.
