Vienna, 18th century. Maria Theresia von Paradis is a gifted piano player and close friend of Mozart who lost her eyesight as a child. Desperate to cure their talented daughter, her family turns to Dr. Mesmer, a controversial doctor who gives her the care and attention she needs.
