In the wake of Captain America: Civil War, Scott Lang grapples with the ramifications of his choices as a superhero and a father. To be honest, I wasn't really looking forward to an Ant-Man sequel. Anyway, I set it up and after a while I didn't regret it. This sequel is a much fresher and funnier part than its predecessor.
Especially Paul Rudd is on a roll. He has a great talent for comedy, which he proves once again. He is the main protagonist of this film, but is also strongly flanked by Evangeline Lilly and Michael Douglas.
The story is set after 'Captain America: Civil War', a film that was not so fresh in my memory.
Not a problem in itself, because in this film it's not about the plot but about the humor and the fun fights. That shrinking and growing again is used fantastically a number of times, much better than in the first part.
The scene afterwards is very rewarding. I see this movie after the great closing 'Avengers: Endgame' movie, but now you know how he got there. Well done.
A less serious Marvel, but one that will make you smile from ear to ear.

More of the same as part 1, but again with a fast pace, lots of jokes and sympathetic actors that make up for everything. Where many other Marvel films try to give their superhero characters depth, development and psychological conflict, this franchise is mainly about fun, and I have no problem with that. Nice renditions, a strong chase with big and small cars, and even the ending credits sequence is entertaining. "Sorry, I had to come up with a name for my ant. I'm thinking Ulysses S. Gr-Ant. [...] Yes! I'm gonna call you Ant-onio Banderas!"
