November Criminals plot
Eighteen-year-old Jew Addison Schacht is about to graduate from high school in Washington DC. The school is rocked when the student Kevin, who was also Addison's best friend, is killed. When Addison applies to get into the University of Chicago, he must answer the question about his best and worst qualities. Giving this answer hangs for Addison, aided by his girlfriend Phoebe, along with his investigation into Kevin's death.

I can understand that this film may seem a bit messy to some viewers. It seems like an adolescent manhunt for the murderer of a certain student named Kevin. However, the story certainly does not focus on this and there is a bit more to it by introducing some teenage topics. For me this gave an extra dimension to the whole and I really appreciated it. But it wasn't all that great. Just above average.

A film about two teenagers who want to investigate the murder of a friend. In the film they mainly get to know each other and the storyline of the murder fades into the background. Things get all messy with Elgort's character's past. Some more clichés, from camcorder recordings to Bowie music. It's a shame really, because I'm a fan of Moretz and Elgort isn't that bad at times. But it doesn't get interesting anywhere and the chemistry doesn't work that well between the two characters.
