December 2003, the early days of the Iraq War. The sweet-natured Doc contacts his old naval friends Sal and Mueller to ask them to help him bury his only child. His son, a marine, was killed during the early days of the Iraqi invasion. The three Vietnam veterans leave for the East Coast.
