Pretty funny, 'tragic' comedy. Facebook is really getting awful 2010 - 2015 in my opinion, Instagram is the new hype derailing people. It's just how far you let yourself get carried away, of course. Ingrid's brake lines have been cut regarding this social media life. The film shows with a wonderfully thick spoonful of salt how things are going nowadays. Real life is becoming increasingly digital. This results in some nice moments in this film. Aubrey Plaza is, of course, perfectly cast.

Aubrey Plaza stars in this tragicomic drama with satirical undertones as Ingrid, a troubled young woman whose quality of life mirrors that of influencer Taylor Sloane [Elizabeth Olson]. She decides to do everything she can to be a part of the seemingly perfect life Taylor lives with her boyfriend Ezra [Wyatt Russell]. Her arrival in Los Angeles brings her new contacts, both good and bad, but Ingrid only seems to have eyes for Taylor, with dire consequences.

Although Ingrid is in fact a stalker, Plaza - helped by the screenplay by Spicer and David Branson - gives her character a humanity that allows you to continue to identify with her despite her questionable motives and actions. Good supporting work from O'Shea Jackon Jr, but especially from Billy Magnussen as the man who exposes Ingrid first and tries to make a profit.

Entertaining road film with a strong acting Plaza. Olsen is also participating, but I will honestly admit that I have almost forgotten about it. In any case, it should be clear that Spicer wanted to make something clear. As a result, the film regularly dwells on Plaza's train of thought, although it is not always very interesting. As a result, the film has a fairly variable pace that does not always look good, but all in all is quite decent. It's not particularly funny, compelling, or unique, but it does what it's made for, which is to entertain and tell. The moral is never too over the top and the direction never feels amateurish or mediocre. It has therefore become a pretty nice film, but not one that makes a lasting impression.
