PONIES plot
Moscow, 1977. Two "Ponies" (people uninterested in intelligence jargon) work anonymously as secretaries at the American embassy. Until their husbands are mysteriously murdered in the USSR, and the duo becomes CIA agents. Bea is an overeducated, Russian-speaking child of Soviet immigrants. Her cohort, Twila, is a small-town girl as aggressive as she is fearless. Together, they attempt to unravel a vast Cold War conspiracy and solve the mystery that initially left them widowed.
