Anoniem plot

At a time when crime grips our country and the system seems to be failing, the life of depressed history teacher Jurre Jansen finds itself in a rut. His teenage children ignore him, while his wife and prosecutor Sarah is after a big drug lord and sleeps more at the office than at home. When Jurre frees a girl from a dangerous situation one evening, the next day he is suddenly known as the anonymous hero on social media. When he then discovers that drugs are being traded at the high school where he teaches, he decides to radically change his life.

Anoniem season 1

Great Dutch series. I missed it, but now I can watch the first season again on NPO Start.
Jeroen Spitzenberger is a top actor, without wanting to discredit the other actors.
As is the way it is in the Netherlands these days, we often see the same actors in these kinds of shows. Don't we have a pool of other actors? Yet, I also see young actors doing quite well in these shows.
Indeed, it's a bit unbelievable in places. The dull history teacher undergoes a revolutionary metamorphosis, like some kind of Superman/Batman. It went a bit too fast for me.
The topic of drug dealing in schools is presented very well. It's incredibly difficult for schools to do anything about it. How young people are being recruited to deal drugs. Imagine if it were your child.
In the Netherlands, we're used to criticizing almost everything we produce domestically in terms of films and series. It's inherently flawed. I don't think that's fair. While "Anonymous" isn't a gem, it's still a decent film. I'm curious about series 2.
