V-Wars plot
dr. Luther Swann enters a world of horror when a mysterious illness transforms his best friend, Michael Fayne, into a murderous predator that feeds on other humans. As the disease spreads and more humans are transformed, society breaks into opposing camps, pitting normal humans against the growing number of these vampires. Swann races against time to understand what's happening, while Fayne rises to become the powerful underground leader of the vampires.

A fresh take on vampires, and just entertaining enough. Not a high-flyer, but more original than the established titles in this category. I've now seen five episodes and am curious about the ending, which might cost me half a point. I'm keeping it at three for now because it's easy to watch.

Now on episode 5. The idea is interesting in theory, ie a new angle on the old vampire story. I didn't think this was still possible, but they have given it a new twist. HOWEVER: what a horribly bad actor that lead actor (Ian Somerhalder as Dr. Luther Swann) is. His attempts to show different emotions result in spastic facial expressions that mainly arouse annoyance. The 2nd protagonist (Adrian Holmes as Michael Fayne) does a little better, but is certainly not a future Oscar winner either. All in all 2 stars for the original angle, but not a high flyer.
