De Slimste Mens plot
In De Slimste Mens, three candidates are played, almost always well-known Dutch people. In this quiz, the candidates have to think very associatively. Most rounds consist of questions that require four or five answers. The candidates should not look for the small facts, but try to generate the answers that are in the collective memory of the human being. Each day one of the three participants drops out, the other two come back the next day, supplemented with a new participant. The one who wins the last broadcast is then crowned 'The Smartest'.

Yes, this one just had to go on. Have followed the series for a while and it remains very nice, especially because Maarten van Rossem here and there with sharp observations and extremely informative treatises (give that man his own political program, NPO!). I have to add that they seem to be getting less in number every season and that he can also beat himself up too much and I don't always share his sense of humor.
Freriks is the other laconic rock in the surf, although you should not touch his wine or France and such hobbyhorses. The guests are very variable (literally and figuratively), with some celebrities wondering how they managed to get up the courage to participate (I won't name names), but well, they do it to themselves and I will not saying I would do better.
That someone thinks the Flemish version is superior, fine, I can't even look at that - what a bad and self-satisfied sense of humor people have there... brrr.
With about a midweek to go, this already gets three stars.
