Veronica Mars plot
In the affluent coastal village of Neptune, the rich and powerful determine the beautiful weather. They leave their mark on the community and on the school, Neptune High... and they try to keep their lesser secrets as secret as possible. Unfortunately for them, that doesn't include 18-year-old Veronica Mars. She is intelligent and fearless: two qualities that serve her well as an apprentice detective to follow in her father's footsteps and unravel the most intriguing village secrets. During the day she is an ordinary teenager who has to study hard and has to deal with the usual teenage troubles. But outside school hours she lives for her passion: doing odd jobs as a detective in her father Keith Mars' office, searching for the truth in dark alleys, armed with a camera...

Veronica Mars was a series about high school student Veronica Mars(Kristin Bell) who works as a private detective with her father Keith(Enrico Colantoni). Keith has become a private detective after being fired as Sheriff of Neptune because of his doubts about the murder of Lily Kane, Veronica's best friend. This murder case is the common thread through the series, but other things play a role in the foreground because even though Neptune appears to be a quiet suburb at first glance, there is a lot going on under the surface that cannot bear the daylight. She gets help from her friends Mac, Wallace and the biker Weevil.
The series had a film noir feel with a modern look similar to series like The Hills and Laguna Beach. Kristin Bell managed to create a contemporary Nancy Drew with Veronica Mars. Enrico Colantoni is also good as Keith Mars. At first glance he looks like a brute, but he is a good detective who is headstrong and does not listen to superiors or give in to pressure from the media. There are also excellent supporting roles from Percy Daggs, Jason Dohring, Francis Capra and Tina Majorino.
Veronica Mars is simply a smooth, suspenseful detective series that simultaneously provides a glimpse into contemporary youth cultures and sometimes ridicules them. Just a top series.
