Ruth Slater is released from prison after 15 years where she served a sentence of two life sentences. She had killed two cops who wanted to evict her and her little sister from their home. Her sister has since been adopted and Ruth tries to find her. Her adoptive parents don't like this at all. In addition, two sons of one of the killed agents are out for revenge. Ruth can't do much because her release was conditional
