The Unlikely Murderer plot

Stig Engström is the graphic designer believed to be the suspected murderer of Swedish Prime Minister Olof Palme. Through a combination of audacity, luck and a bewildered police force, he managed to evade justice until his death. What do we know about Stig Engström? How could the police let him escape, even though they were on his trail? The murder was not well planned, Engström did everything wrong from the start and hardly anyone believed his lies about what he really did on that fateful 1986 night in Stockholm.

I've been following the story for a while and I still remember this news vividly. This miniseries explores some of the many theories behind the assassination of Swedish Prime Minister Palme, with the theory from the book after which this series is named being accepted as the only true one by the authorities. It's an excellent miniseries that tells this story, delivered by a truly impressive cast; almost all the well-known Swedish actors and actresses have roles in it.
