The Split plot

The Split is about the fast-paced circuit of powerful female divorce lawyers from the perspective of three sisters Hannah, Nina and the youngest, Rose. Hannah and Nina are leading divorce and family lawyers at competing firms, while Rose is still searching for her place in life. Despite their strong career, the sisters' private lives are not exactly a bed of roses. Their father has been absent for thirty years and when he suddenly returns, this causes quite a stir. This is also made more difficult because they are simultaneously busy with big, complicated matters at work.

Prima engelse dramaserie over een advocaten-familie, gespecialiseerd in echtscheidingen. De drie zussen en hun moeder maken er doorgaans privé nog meer een potje van dan hun cliënten. Uitstekend gespeeld en vlot en stijlvol in beeld gebracht, met precies de juiste balans tussen humor en drama. Barry Atsma heeft een belangrijke bijrol en doet het lang niet slecht. Met slechts zes afleveringen smaakt dit duidelijk naar meer. Op naar seizoen twee dus.

Excellent English drama series about a family of lawyers, specialized in divorces. The three sisters and their mother usually mess things up even more privately than their clients. Excellently played and smoothly and stylishly portrayed, with just the right balance between humor and drama. Barry Atsma has an important supporting role and is not bad at all. With only six episodes, this clearly leaves you wanting more. So on to season two.
