The Secret Daughter plot

Billie Carter, a part-time singer from the Australian rural town of Walperinga, accidentally meets Jack Norton, a wealthy man from the city. Shortly afterwards, when she gets into trouble with some local thugs, she pretends to be Jack's secret daughter in order to escape from Walperinga. She then ends up in a wealthy, grieving family, because Jack has died.
