The Chi plot

The Chi is set in the tough city of Chicago, in which a group of African-American young people must try to survive. The young people do not know each other at first, but are linked to each other because they find themselves in the same difficult situations. Kevin is a pre-teen who must transcend the bewildered illusions and embrace the normal rites of his childhood. Brandon is a dreamer trying to succeed in life and overcome love with girlfriend Jerrika. Emmett is a carefree teenager who is given a complex responsibility with the guidance of his mother Jada. Ronnie is the bum who questions his struggle to love and be loved.
