Springfloden plot

Olivia Rønning is a police inspector in training. As an exercise, Olivia and her fellow police academy students study a cold case. A young heavily pregnant woman was dug in on Nordkoster beach in 1990 to be slowly submerged by the tide. Twenty-five years later, this sadistic murder appears to be unsolved. Olivia becomes obsessed with the murder when she discovers that her father, who died of cancer, was in charge of the investigation. She realizes that she must contact Tom Silton, who was working with her father on the investigation, as soon as possible. But Stilton appears to have fallen into disrepair, has become homeless and has other problems.

Good that unresolved and loose ends are being picked up in this second series! Now it's immediately clear to me why certain storylines like the arrogant and inept police officer Forss - or even minor events in series 1, like the pet spider - in series 1 were worked out without really playing a significant role there.

The series is captivating and well put together. End feels a bit rushed and the denouement doesn't blow you away. Nevertheless, very worthwhile!

1 question: how exactly did that laptop end up at Borrell? All I can think of is that the guy with the umbrella picked it up when the father was already dead?

A very good sequel to the first season, but unfortunately not an excellent sequel. It builds on the first season; Not so much in terms of the main story, but in terms of the characters. Up to and including the ninth part, the momentum and tension remain reasonable, but the closing tenth part is a lot worse because of the many unanswered questions. Logically, you can answer this yourself, but the last part would have been a lot better if we had learned a little more about the sequel regarding, for example, the right hand of Borrell and his 'girlfriend', the director of the nursing home, or about Forss and Acke. But who knows, there will be a third season. Unfortunately, that could take a while, if it comes at all. It is and remains a great series; one of the best I've seen in this genre.
