Springfloden plot
Olivia Rønning is a police inspector in training. As an exercise, Olivia and her fellow police academy students study a cold case. A young heavily pregnant woman was dug in on Nordkoster beach in 1990 to be slowly submerged by the tide. Twenty-five years later, this sadistic murder appears to be unsolved. Olivia becomes obsessed with the murder when she discovers that her father, who died of cancer, was in charge of the investigation. She realizes that she must contact Tom Silton, who was working with her father on the investigation, as soon as possible. But Stilton appears to have fallen into disrepair, has become homeless and has other problems.

Excellent Swedish murder mystery with an ingenious plot and strong acting, although the lead actress is not very good. Fortunately, the rest of the cast does. The first few episodes aren't that special, but at some point the plot lines and characters grab you and don't let go. In the end, everything is very beautiful and satisfying.

Scandinavia is known for its strong crime series, and this is another one. The book and screenplay are by the Börjlind couple, also known from Beck. The complex intrigue is spread over an entire season. It takes a lot of digging into the past to find a connection between a recent murder and an unsolved murder from more than twenty years ago. The main part is set in Stockholm, but there are also trips to Costa Rica and to an inhospitable island on the Swedish west coast.
The leading role is for Julia Ragnarsson, who already played a striking side role in the second season of The Bridge[/url]. Her bright blue eyes radiate wonder, and the ambition to fathom the mystery. It is likely that a criminology student wants to delve into an old case with which she has a personal connection. Less credible is the homeless ex-commissioner who is still investigating as if he has no other concerns. Police detective Mette makes it realistic again. The investigation leads to a variety of environments, from homeless people and prostitutes to white-collar criminals. In a gritty side plot , little boys are abused as underground cage fighters. The emphasis is on interrogations, infiltrations and forensics, interspersed with a dose of action and scabrous details.
