This 'Origin' is the third season and also the prequel to the first two seasons of Mystery Road. The style, the locations and the atmosphere are similar to the previous two seasons, but there is no momentum at all in the first 5 episodes. It's like everything is happening in slow motion. This does not alter the fact that the plot is well set up with a number of surprises towards the end. The last episode (6) contains a bit more tension and speed.
