No idea where all the fuzz around this series comes from. Just find it very average and on the bland side. It never gets really gross or gruesome. I also don't like a number of cinematographic and story-technical choices, such as the choice to start the series with the arrest of Dahmer and therefore to show everything that follows in the form of flashback. What a bad idea. Now on episode seven and I think I'm going to drop out.

seen 3 episodes of the series so far + an analize from someone on youtube of the events .

To me it's pretty clear when asked how he could become like that, abandon issues, a mother who was mentally disturbed and gave him no love, a father who was absent too much and bullying at school.

If you are a unstable person yourself then this can happen in a confluence of coincidences , I think .

we also see a scene in which it becomes clear that his mother took so many pills during her pregnancy

That too can influence the development of the child (not very far-fetched I think).

The series itself is a bit weird , no chronological order which makes it seem a bit messy at times .

I don't really know Evan Peters as an actor but he plays his character very strongly.

In terms of gore it is very brief , a lot is left out and that can work very well , I understand the motivation behind it but it sometimes comes across as very well behaved .

Finally , I think the fuss is total nonsense , victim support is embarrassing itself with this action because you can also easily reason that the series does have a certain educational value to recognize possible similar behavior in children .

Evan Peters is impressive as the wimpy yet calculating serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, in this top-notch 10-part miniseries. Atmosphere drawing, camera work and use of sound and music are of a very high level. Almost even better than Peters is Richard Jenkins as Dahmer's father. He is the emotional heart of the series and really creates an unforgettable character here. Unfortunately, after the first six sublime episodes, the focus shifts a bit to a number of less interesting characters and developments, after which it all becomes less interesting.
