Love Story plot

A film adaptation of the whirlwind romance and marriage of John F. Kennedy Jr., considered an American icon and a media phenomenon, and Carolyn Bessette, a fiercely independent and stylish Calvin Klein executive who became a fashion icon in the 1990s. It chronicles their relationship from their first meeting in 1992 to their marriage in 1996. Their very public romance was tested by intense fame, constant media attention, and inner conflict. The story culminates in their deaths in a 1999 plane crash, which also claimed the life of Carolyn's sister.
