Last season was my favorite so far. This season is no less, but tastes a little less, purely because the whole tendency seems to be that everyone is stuck in their existence, especially in their relationship, and that feels quite heavy. How happy Don was initially in his marriage to Megan, now that she has chosen her own career path, he seems to feel lost. Roger and Joan's marriages are definitely over. Betty falls into the same patterns in her new marriage as with Don, Pete doesn't like his wife much anymore now that she's become a mother, Peggy leaves the firm and Lane even kills herself. It's all quite a bit. Life is sometimes like what happens to the characters, but here a lot of bad luck coincides.

Still, there are some great moments, which are perhaps more memorable than the highlights from previous seasons. Megan's singing and dancing on Don's birthday, the LSD scene with Roger thinking it doesn't affect him, and then some subtle but weird things happen, Peggy yelling "Pizza House" at Don over the phone if she doesn't want to be bothered with his marital troubles. Furthermore, it is nice to see how, after Peggy, Sally is now also starting to develop more and more.

In the end I prefer the previous season, but this is not much inferior and therefore gets 3.5 *.
