For All Mankind begins on July 16, 1969, as NASA sees humans land on the moon for the first time. The story is told through the lives of NASA astronauts, engineers and their families and presents an ambitious world in which NASA and the space program remained a priority and a focal point of our hopes and dreams. In other words, what would have happened if the global space race had never ended.

In the fourth season we jump into the new millennium and end up in 2003, in the mining colony of Happy Valley on Mars. The amazing partnership of the US/M7, Russia and North Korea are trying to land an asteroid for more prosperity on Earth. Reason why this asteroid is affectionately called Goldilocks.

Once again, For All Mankind is about friendship and loyalty. And although this fourth season is more science fiction than the first three seasons, the problems in the now large Happy Valley community become more mundane. And dissatisfaction about salaries and working conditions is increasing.

I love this series. In a perfect mix of suspense, science fiction, drama and espionage (The Americans!), the fourth season is not the best, but is still convincing. Despite a great lack of credibility here and there. With good acting and a sophisticated screenplay, For All Mankind provides an original glimpse into a future that is already far behind us.
