The introduction of Danny's son initially felt a bit like a cheap trick to stretch the series. But in the end I found this season a lot stronger than the first. With season 1 you knew what was going to happen all along because of those flash forwards, but I found this really exciting. Great use too of "the ghost of Danny" that haunts the series throughout the season.

Also nice that this season is just a bit shorter, season 1 sometimes felt a bit artificially stretched. Very curious about the last season, but a nice idea that it will be finished in 10 episodes.

Less than the first season, mainly because it only slightly builds on plot lines that are already largely known. This time it is all a bit smaller and more straightforward in design. Certain new characters, such as the criminal played by John Leguizamo, are a nice addition and the flashbacks with Ben Mendelsohn work well within the story structure, but there are simply too few interesting developments to keep you really interested. So I'm looking forward to season three.
