Ben Casey works as a doctor at County General Hospital. He is a young, intense and idealistic neurosurgeon. His mentor is chief neurosurgery doctor David Zorba who will later be replaced by doctor Daniel Niles Freeland. Ben faces the most controversial cases and will always do everything he can to help his patients as best he can.
