I haven't seen the first season, but I do go after that after watching this blisteringly beautiful second series. Together with De Dag the best that the Flemish television landscape had to offer in recent years for me.

A powerfully portrayed, gripping family mystery with a great cast. Just about everyone is doing very well, but it is Gene Bervoets who really plays the part of his life here. Greet Verstraete as Britt is also in a state of grace. Great setting by the way, the sun-drenched industrial coastal town of Zeebrugge just before the bustle of the summer holidays.

Like De Dag, perhaps not the series with the greatest rewatch value, but Beau Séjour makes up for that with such a high binge factor and such an emotional impact that I can only be full of praise.
