Battlestar Galactica plot

Battlestar Galactica follows the quest of the ship of the same name to an unknown distant planet called Earth. On board are the last human survivors of a war against the dangerous Cylons, artificial life forms. Until recently, humans were part of the mighty 12 Colonies, a large and prosperous society spread across 12 planets. The Colonials were eager to make peace with the Cylons, but the enemy had other plans: with the help of a human traitor, they managed to destroy all 12 Colonies in a full-scale attack and wipe out most of the human race. A small group of people and civilian spaceships managed to survive this holocaust by chance. They clustered around the only remaining warship: the Battlestar Galactica. With no homeworld and hunted by the Cylons, the fleet decides to go in search of the mythical 13th Colony called Earth, where, in addition to a safe haven, they hope to find support in the fight against the Cylons. However, no one knows where the Earth is and it remains to be seen whether this planet is not just a myth.

De ultieme Sci-Fi serie. Te beginnen heeft het een sterk, goed doordacht verhaal met de nodige twists. Daarnaast zitten alle elementen erin die een Sci-Fi serie nodig heeft: Cylons, schitterende ruimte scenes, actie, enz. In tegenstelling tot bijvoorbeeld de meeste Star Trek series wordt alles rauw en (voor een sci-fi serie) realistisch in beeld gebracht. Sciencefiction zoals het hoort te zijn.

The ultimate Sci-Fi series. For starters, it has a strong, well-thought-out story with some twists. In addition, it contains all the elements that a Sci-Fi series needs: Cylons, beautiful space scenes, action, etc. In contrast to, for example, most Star Trek series, everything is raw and (for a sci-fi series) realistically portrayed.

Science fiction as it should be.

Met de hoge waarderingen had ik veel van deze SF-serie verwacht. B-movie qualiteit met slecht acteerwerk en stuk voor stuk vervelende karakters. Wat het meest stoort is de dronken cameraman. Het enige positieve aan deze serie is het leuke snoetje van Grace Park.

With the high ratings, I expected a lot from this SF series. B-movie quality with bad acting and all annoying characters. What disturbs the most is the drunk cameraman. The only positive thing about this series is Grace Park's cute face.
