A Young Doctor's Notebook & Other Stories plot

'A Young Doctor's Notebook' is set during the beginning of the Russian Revolution. We follow the turbulent life of a recently graduated doctor who struggles with the difficult start to his profession. The story is told through his older and more experienced self. In doing so, he not only has to deal with superstitious and ignorant patients, but also struggles with his own inner struggles. The young doctor reveals doubts about his own ability and struggles with the immense pressure of the medical responsibility he bears.
