A Certain Justice plot

Brilliant and successful lawyer Venetia Aldridge is found murdered in her office at the courthouse. Chief Inspector Adam Dalgliesh takes the case, along with Inspector Kate Miskin. It is completely unclear who the perpetrator is. Venetia was a controversial type, unafraid to say what she thought of people, and had made quite a few enemies over the course of her career. There are several clues surrounding Venetia's bizarre death, but her colleagues in court refuse to answer the tough questions of Scotland Yard's top inspector. Then, just as Dalgliesh nearly has one of the prime suspects pinned down, something unexpected happens that turns the whole case upside down.
