1992 plot

It is Italy 1992, a time when clean hands were often anything but clean and 'Tangentopoli' was a corrupt Italian system that promised a good life to anyone who followed the rules. When Mario Chiesa, a member of the Socialist Party, is arrested on February 17, 1992 on suspicion of corruption, it turns out that this is the impetus for a large-scale investigation into further corruption in politics. This so-called Mani pulite (Italian for clean hands) brings with it a wave of affairs that have major consequences for the political elite. Italy is on the brink of collapse and its influence is felt in all walks of life.

1992 season 1

1992 is a better-than-average series, combining drama with historically accurate background.
Meanwhile, successor 1993 has seen the light of day.

The sequel to 1992, with the same storylines and characters.
But.
Yes, it was just coming.
However, it does not reach the level of a year earlier.

It starts at a brisk pace, with the scalp of Craxi and the happy entry of Silvio Berlusconi - in 1992 mostly an insignificant supporting role, but present(more) prominently here.
It's a shame that the drive and pace of the first two episodes isn't continued. From episode 3 to 7 (there are eight in total), the screenwriters do everything they can to keep drawing all the storylines. But as a non-Italian viewer, it's a vieni e vai of too many characters who all have something to do with a blood scandal. But that doesn't really matter.

Luckily there was Veronica. And Bibi - I'm from the south, but I'm going to try so hard to sound Milanese by not articulating Mainaghi.

And the protagonists' way of life is also messed up. It's also not really clear to me what and how they are going to have the protagonists show up in 1994, the third and final season of the series. Recordings have yet to start.

Looking forward to Suburra. After Romanzo Criminale and Gomorrah, another TV adaptation of a previously made film.
