1992 plot
It is Italy 1992, a time when clean hands were often anything but clean and 'Tangentopoli' was a corrupt Italian system that promised a good life to anyone who followed the rules. When Mario Chiesa, a member of the Socialist Party, is arrested on February 17, 1992 on suspicion of corruption, it turns out that this is the impetus for a large-scale investigation into further corruption in politics. This so-called Mani pulite (Italian for clean hands) brings with it a wave of affairs that have major consequences for the political elite. Italy is on the brink of collapse and its influence is felt in all walks of life.
