The Confession Tapes plot
It seems pretty straightforward: once a suspect has admitted that he or she has committed a crime, he or she is guilty and will be punished. But it is not always that simple. In the series, we follow six suspects who have confessed to a crime. But once behind bars, they go back on their confession. The suspects speak for themselves, but also the lawyers and the police who were involved in the case. The makers investigate the role of the lie detector, question certain interrogation techniques and investigate the functioning of the memory.

A series in the vein of the 'confession documentaries' directed by Making a Murderer. That high level is not reached but I can remember that I thought it was a great series. Not every episode is strong, but True Story and The Labor Day Murders stand out. Quite interestingly made and shot (atmosphere), typically something for in between.
