Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields plot

Brooke Shields was a child model before she rose to fame at the age of twelve in Louis Malle's controversial film 'Pretty Baby'. With a string of provocative Calvin Klein ads and starring roles in '80s movies, Shield's early career was defined by a sexuality she couldn't claim or understand. This miniseries reveals Shields' story through media appearances and archival footage, putting into full context the time when Shields came of age in public.

Surprisingly sincere and profound two-part documentary about the life and career of fashion model and actress Brooke Shields. Starting as a child star, she quickly grew into a world-famous icon, with all the consequences that entails. Shields is candid in the interview fragments and provides critical commentary on the wealth of archive footage. The complex relationship with her alcoholic mother is especially impressive.
