Nature's Epic Journeys plot

We follow three animal species, namely the elephant, the caribou and the zebra in three of the world's most breathtaking wildlife adventures. Each species must overcome huge obstacles, from challenging terrain to hungry predators and sheer physical exhaustion. What drives these animals to risk everything in the trek of a lifetime? Using the latest technology from satellites, a team of scientists and filmmakers can now track the precise movements of individual animals, observing first-hand their daily life and death decisions as they occur.
