Simon Reeve takes a trip around the Mediterranean. He visits Malta and Italy, where he explores underground tunnels used by mob bosses as escape routes with young police officers. In Albania, he learns more about an ancient tradition of revenge in which children are held responsible for the actions of their parents. In Cyprus, he goes out with some UN staff. He then sets foot in Lebanon, where he learns about the origins of Catholicism, and in Israel, where he boards a naval vessel that guards the oil reserves off the coast. He travels further through Libya and Tunisia and visits Benidorm in Spain, among other places.
