Maradona en Sinaloa plot

Arguably one of football's greatest players, Diego Maradona, goes to Culiacán, the heart of the Sinaloa cartel, to save the local team, and perhaps himself. Diego Maradona has led the Dorados to two consecutive league finals during his two seasons in charge. Before Maradona started working with the team, the Dorados were near the bottom of the standings. Under his leadership, they were consecutively in the finals of the Apertura 2018 and Clausura 2019 tournaments. Both times, the Dorados of the Atletico San Luis team lost.

Not of special quality as a documentary. At about half of the episodes, everything still seems too fragmentary. Still, as is often the case, you get a little better at it as the story progresses:

- Maradona seems a bit too distant at first, but that turns out to work wonderfully to show his good and bad sides.

- With the chairman, who undoubtedly saw a good PR stunt in both Maradona and this series, after a while I felt real sympathy because he radiated involvement and real responsibility.

- And finally: Mexico and Sinaloa. Of course, El Chapo and the cartel are mentioned a number of times, but the series manages very nicely to convey normal life and not get stuck in the same drug cliches.

In addition, it is always fun to follow the fortunes of smaller clubs. The entourages are not glamorous, the fans dare to dream but do not have too many illusions, etcetera
