Lost Women of Highway 20 plot
This series examines the crimes that occurred along Highway 20 between the late 1970s and early 1990s. Several young women and girls disappeared, were sexually abused, or murdered. At least five women were victims of crimes along this highway. An Oregon Department of Transportation road worker was long the only suspect and was eventually prosecuted for the murder of Kaye Turner, which occurred in 1978. Ackroyd was sentenced to five life terms for murder but was never prosecuted for the other murders.
