Leve de Zoo plot

In 2018, Antwerp Zoo will be one hundred and seventy-five years old. Arnout Hauben takes this opportunity to take a look through the rich history of Antwerp ZOO. Arnout makes an adventurous trip close to home, with humans and animals in the lead. A journey back in time, from the Zoo's founding to the modern zoo it has become today. This history is brought to life on the basis of photo and film archives, newspapers and reference works.

Leve de Zoo season 1

Arnout Hauben has quite a few documentaries to his name, but I really didn't like this at all, I am a zoo lover and I try to visit the most important zoos in the Netherlands and Belgium every year. The tone of the series was just never right, then switched back to archive, then back to present, then again… . And not all stories were equally interesting, a pity but unfortunately this was a serious miss.
