Unlike many people, I don't find Kylie cute, genuine, or nice at all. Consequently, I don't get the impression that I've gotten to know her any better. She reminds me of Lady Diana, who also knew how to milk 'innocent and pure' to the bone.

Kylie plays it well, a tear at the right moment: Michael breaking her heart, how could he, with our little, bouncy darling. The fact that she did the same to Jason Donovan is brushed aside; she simply doesn't like being pigeonholed.

I am venturing into dangerous territory, but even with the cancer, I get the feeling it is being deployed strategically. More well-timed tears, and a scoop too.

Kylie and her marketing team are very skilled at creating a persona. Pure love and kindness. And so modest. I have never believed her; for her, it is all about herself, the only subject she is truly passionate about. She has also never been able to convince me that she is a good singer.
