Keep Sweet: Pray and Obey plot

One of the world's most dangerous, yet unknown cult leaders is Warren Jeffs, who ran an offshoot of the Mormon Church. This documentary series examines his rise in this 'Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints'. His father Rulon Jeffs began his fundamentalist split from the Mormon Church in 1986. Rulon Jeffs reintroduced polygamy, a practice Mormons had discarded years before. From one of Rulon's marriages, Warren was born, who took over the FLDS Church after Rulon's death in 2002. Warren preached the same messages as his father, he married 87 wives, and had about fifty children. This series shows how he came to the top and conquered total power with his culture of fear. He was known among his followers as the "one true prophet." This series features people who grew up in Warren Jeffs' church. They tell how everything they did was determined by Jeffs and that girls were married off from the age of two to act as incubators. The cult leader himself also had a whole pack of underage wives. Jeffs was eventually arrested and is in jail. But he still has a group of followers who see him as the representative of god on earth.
