In August 2021, the Taliban seized control of Kabul and Afghanistan for the second time. It took just eleven days to put an end to a twenty-year attempt to stabilize the country. At Kabul airport, Afghans clung to departing military aircraft while the nation collapsed in real time. In the three-part series *The Last Days of Kabul*, decision-makers from all sides, including ousted President Ashraf Ghani, recount how an international coalition led by the world's largest military power handed Afghanistan back to the Taliban. Through intimate testimonies, personal archives, and footage from Afghan and international media, the series reconstructs twenty years of conflict from the inside and attempts to answer the question: Where did it go wrong in Afghanistan?
