Classique Gilbert plot

Philippe Gilbert hangs up his bike in October 2022, after a professional career of nineteen years. Gilbert is regarded as one of the best classic riders of the last two decades. In 2017, Gilbert unexpectedly won the Tour of Flanders as Belgian champion. Suddenly he has won three of the five top classics: the Tour of Lombardy, Liège-Bastogne-Liège and also the Tour of Flanders. He wants to win Milan-San Remo and Paris-Roubaix in the twilight of his already richly filled career. This series follows Gilbert and his entourage in the last five seasons of his career, in his quest for those last two victories: two of the five top classics he has yet to win. This series follows the most important races he still rides, looks back at the great victories he already achieved before, and gets a unique insight into the private life of Gilbert and his family.
