Wallander plot
At the center is the existentialist Kurt Wallander, a Swedish police inspector who works in the city of Ystad. Here, he teams up with his team to investigate a shocking wave of murders. He personally experiences a lot; he lives separately from his wife and has a difficult relationship with his daughter Linda and his father Povel, who lives in a remote house with his new girlfriend Gertrude.

Atmospheric English film adaptation of the book series by Henning Mankell, with three episodes of one and a half hours. Initially it takes some getting used to the English actors within the Swedish setting, but in the end it works out well. Kenneth Branagh is amazing in the tricky lead. His character has a hard time in almost every episode and he goes through a huge development within the series. The detective aspects of the books are often a bit dull and it rarely gets really exciting, but this is not disturbing. The storylines and the characters are captivating enough to condone this. Note the small roles of Tom Hiddleston and Rebecca Ferguson.

I have now seen 2 episodes of season 1, I think this one is very good.
mysterious, you only find out quite late how it all works, that's what makes it so good for me.
will also give my opinion for the other seasons.
